Our Pastor//Dan Zike & FamilyOn November 6, 1994, during a Bible Conference, I recognized my need for Christ to save me of my sins. On my knees, in my mother’s office, I did the only thing I could – I asked Jesus to forgive me and save me.
On March 27, 1996, I knew God was calling me into the ministry to be a pastor. Since then, I have accepted my training by placing myself under a number of pastors. I have received my certificate from the Isaac Backus Bible Institute from Pastor Robin Wright, under Town Center Baptist Church in Happy Valley, OR. In 1995, I was also ordained by Town Center Baptist. On September 13, 2003, I married my best friend. God brought us together, even though I lived in Oregon and she lived in PA. I praise God for not only blessing me with a wonderful, loving wife and caring mother; but also for blessing me with a superb helpmeet for the ministry. God has blessed my wife and I with two precious children: Rachel and Noah. Each are a miracle. God gave us a special miracle through our son who came 6 weeks early. We almost lost him at that time. We spent 6 weeks in the NICU and God opened a door for a ministry there to many hurting parents. On August 2, 2009, we had our first services at Old Paths Historic Baptist Church in Tualatin, OR. This is a work that my pastor had asked us to pray about starting, and it has been a blessing. We have seen God do ‘great and mighty’ things through His work. |
